Wilson: “my best was going to work with Dad.” Bomgar hosted a Christmas party for the kids this afternoon, so Wilson hung around afterwards & helped me wrap a few things up before taking the rest of the week off.

Maggie: “I got started on the last painting that needs to get done before Christmas.”

Phil: “mine was working with Wilson. He was a big help with putting an old appliance back together.”

12.21.08

Wilson: “my best was just playing with Uncle John.” UJ came over after church & hung out with us for a little while.

Maggie: “eating lunch with the family was nice.” Indeed it was, and very welcome by me too after singing at two services.

Phil: “I really enjoyed singing Christmas songs in the choir this morning.” It was a lot of time well invested.

12.20.08

Wilson: “my best was watching Despereaux with Dad. And running errands with him.” It sure was nice to know we could help get out of Maggie’s way as she painted all day.

Maggie: “mine was finishing all but one painting for Christmas.” And they all look so good too!

Phil: “mine was hanging out with John & Allison Hertel this evening & knowing that our treehouse plans are doable. I also enjoyed errand and Despereaux.”

12.19.08

Wilson: “my best was running errands with Mom & getting my hair cut. And my best was going running with Dad.”

Maggie: “mine was when Pop & Mim came over to take some plants from our back bed where the fort will go.”

Phil: “mine was finally getting our BlackBerry Storm in at work, and also going for a jog with Wilson.”

12.17.08

Maggie: “I had a great time going to lunch with Jamie Werne’s family to celebrate her birthday.”

Phil: “Mine was attending the Bomgar Open House and meeting the Governor.”

12.16.08

Wilson: “my best was going to Granna’s.” Wilson got to hang out at Granna’s early this morning while we took Miller to get PE tubes ‘installed’.

Maggie: “my best was when Miller was finished with getting her tubes, and my second best was when I got a Pottery Barn order in the mail in record time!” ‘Tis the season, I suppose.

Phil: “my best was definitely when they called our name after Miller’s ‘procedure’ this morning.”

We’re pretty sure Miller’s best was also getting through this morning. Either that or getting the fun medicine that made me feel really loopy.

12.11.08

Wilson: “ummm … I’m trying to remember.  My best was playing the fireman game at Granna’s.”  … again. 🙂

Maggie: “hanging out with Wilson today.”

Phil: “My best was hearing Wilson’s prayers tonight.  ‘Dear God, thank you for this day, and thank you for Pluto.  You gave him to me, and he’s really good.  He’s right here in my hands.  And God, you made him.  He’s so soft and fuzzy and you gave all of his parts to them so they could put him together.  And know what?  We still don’t know why he has a bump on his head.  In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.’  My second best was knowing that Pluto got a turn to pray too.”

As you can see here, he does have a little bump on his head.  Who knew?

what a great dog!

12.10.08

Wilson: “my best was going to school! I got to be the leader today after Nathan had a turn, and when we went to music some other classes sang with us. It was fun to sing with a lot of people. We sang Jingle Bells!”

Maggie: “mine was getting to eat lunch with Lauren & baby Maggie Hayes.”

Phil: “mine was receiving some toys in the mail at work (which were an iPhone & two BlackBerry Bolds)!”

Miller is feeling a little better and will get tubes put in next week. We’re looking forward to that & hope they really help.

12.08.08

Wilson: “my best was playing at John Clark’s house.  We played at his house all day!

Maggie: “my best was when Lauren Hayes called; we’re going to lunch on Wednesday.”

Phil: “my best was a strangely productive Monday at work; I dont’ get too many of those.”

Miller’s best was loving (or as she puts it, “dubbing”) on a rag doll in Anthropologie today.

12.07.08

Wilson: “my best was going to Sunday school.  And my second best was playing with Tyler at Pat-Pat’s house.”  This evening, Wilson finally got to meet his cousin Adam’s cousins Tyler & Chase Smith.

Maggie: “seeing Colin & Mike tonight.”  Colin is Tyler and Chase’s mom, and Mike is her dad.

Phil: “my best was finally getting this blog on its own, non-hokey website.”

Miller was told by Dr. Ellison today that she should get tubes put into her ears, so she did not really have a best.  Though she was certainly very happy most of the day.
